『FTA in International Finance: Impacts of Exchange Rates on FTA Utilization　(Joint research with Kazunobu Hayakawa and Han-Sung Kim)』

講　師：吉見　太洋　氏　（南山大学）

【概要】

This paper investigates how exchange rates affect the utilization of free trade agreement (FTA). Our empirical analysis shows that the depreciation of final-good exporters’ currencies encourages FTA utilization. We also show that such impacts of exchange rates become larger when exporting products with the higher demand elasticity or when exporting products produced using non-originating inputs with the higher demand elasticity.
